Vicar Cinda Brucker - Intern Pastor
|
Cinda grew up in Vermilion, Ohio and attended Trinity Lutheran Church. She was active in her youth group and choir and began teaching Sunday School in eleventh grade. She attended Thiel College and earned a BA in History as well as her Elementary Teaching Certification.
Cinda lived in Elizabethtown, PA for twenty one-years. She was involved with many ministries at Christ Lutheran Church including secretary of the congregational council, committee chairperson, confirmation teacher, Sunday School and VBS teacher, and choir. Cinda completed a Master of Arts in Ministerial Studies degree at the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg in 2002. As an Associate in Ministry she was called to St. John in Sayre, PA as Director of Youth, Evangelism & Family Ministry. She happily served for there for three years, but discerned a call to ordained ministry. She returned to Gettysburg to complete course work in the Master of Divinity Program.
Cinda has two children. Her daughter, Emily, lives in DeKalb, Illinois where she works for Northern Illinois University. She is married to Jon Salvani and they have one son, Carter who is 8 years old. Her son, Edward, recently graduated from Penn State with a degree in Art Education.
As with each of our intern pastors, we are looking forward to the unique gifts and blessings that Cinda will share with our congregation. We welcome her here as she spends this very important year with us.
